The Pixie Disc is held securely in place by the pubic bone, resting below the cervix. It collects menstrual fluid without using suction and sits at a slight diagonal angle.
- Squeeze the disc to create a figure 8 shape.
- Apply water-based lubricant to the top for smoother insertion.
- Sit, squat, or lift one leg to relax your pelvic floor muscles.
- Insert the disc, pointing it downward and guiding it back until the rim is tucked securely behind the pubic bone.
Relax your pelvic muscles and gently pull on the disc’s stem until you can reach the rim. Slide a finger under the rim to fully remove the disc, then empty it into the toilet.
The Pixie Large Cup holds approximately 30ml of fluid, similar to the Medium Disc.
Fold the cup (try heart-fold or punch down fold) and insert it by aiming towards your tailbone. Once inside, it should open fully, creating a light seal against your vaginal walls. If the stem feels uncomfortable, you can trim it.
To remove, pinch the base of the cup to break the suction, and gently pull it out. If necessary, wiggle it back and forth to ease it down.
