How does the Pixie Cup Applicator work?

It works just like a tampon applicator. Fold your menstrual cup, insert it into the top, then glide it into place.

Can I use the Pixie Cup Applicator with any menstrual cup?

The Pixie Cup Applicator is designed to work with most brands of menstrual cups. While we recommend using it with our Pixie Cup for best results, it can also be used with other brands that have a similar size and shape. It does NOT work with discs.

Will it work with menstrual discs?

The Cup Applicator was designed specifically for cups, not discs. Looking for a disc applicator? We have that too!

Is it safe to use?

Yes. It’s made from medical-grade ABS, PP, and Mediprene TPE. It’s BPA-free, safe for intimate use, and infused with an antimicrobial agent for added hygiene.

Is it reusable?

Yes. Wash it before and after each use. It’s built to last cycle after cycle and helps reduce waste compared to disposable options.

What if I have long nails?

This applicator was made for you. It keeps your fingers clean and out of the way, so long nails won’t get in the way.

Can I travel with it?

Yes, it comes with a compact, hygienic case that’s easy to toss in your bag and go.

How do I clean it?

Wash with mild soap and warm water before and after each use. For extra ease, pair it with Pixie Cleansing Mist. Do not use high heat.

What is it made of?


  • Top Body: Mediprene TPE
  • Bottom Body, Glider & Handle: ABS
  • Case: ABS/PP

All parts include an antimicrobial agent to help inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surface.


Is the handle removable?

Yes. The thumb handle detaches. We included it for better grip during insertion, but you can remove it if that works better for you.

Is it FDA registered?

Yes, it is FDA registered and meets safety standards for intimate use.

Can I use it if I’m new to menstrual cups?

Yes. It’s especially helpful for beginners by giving you more control, easier insertion, and a more confident cup experience.
